Fee-Help

The Academy is an approved higher education provider able to offer FEE-HELP to students in the Bachelor of Design Arts course. FEE-HELP is an Australian Government scheme that assists eligible fee-paying students with their tuition fees. Through FEE-HELP, the government provides a loan to eligible fee-paying students to cover all or part of the cost of tuition. Students repay their loans either at any time voluntarily, or compulsorily when the student's income reaches a set repayment threshold (for full details see www.goingtouni.gov.au).

FEE-HELP provides an opportunity for students who would rather study at an independent institution which is an approved Higher Education Provider but who have considered studying at a university because they needed the financial support provided by the HECS-HELP. Students can now choose the institution they would prefer to study at without the burden of paying fees ‘up-front’.

Details of the FEE-HELP scheme are in the booklet FEE-HELP Information issued by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR).The booklet is available for downloading at www.goingtouni.gov.au. The booklet and FEE-HELP application forms are also available from the Academy office.
