Indigenous Art Gallery

The Australian Academy of Design and the Australian Academy of the Arts have collaborated to develop the Indigenous Art Gallery. The gallery will be located at the Australian Academy of Design and will exhibit affordable indigenous art.

The Academy, conscious of the controversy regarding the small returns to indigenous artists is having discussions with a Northern Territory organisation that produces prints of indigenous artists’ work to provide them with an ongoing income. These prints will be exhibited and sold in the gallery.
