Location
The Australian Academy of Design is located in Melbourne, the second largest city in Australia and generally considered Australia’s major cultural centre. The Academy campus is close to the Melbourne CBD in Port Melbourne (see Location Map below).
It is surrounded by professional studios and industries relevant to the courses conducted by the Academy and is only 10 minutes by public transport from the CBD. Buses and the light-rail (Route 109) travel every 10 minutes from Southern Cross (formerly Spencer Street) and Flinders Street Stations in the CBD, and the City Loop, and stop a 200-metre walk from the campus (Melways reference: Map 43, C12).

Take the 109 (Port Melbourne) tram towards Port Melbourne and get off at tram stop 127 (North Port).
Trams commence in Whitehorse Road near Market Street in Box Hill and run via Whitehorse Road, Cotham Road, High Street, Barkers Road, Victoria Street, Victoria Parade, St Vincents Plaza, Macarthur Street, Collins Street (CBD), Spencer Street, Clarendon Street and Station Street
towards Beacon Cove (Port Melbourne). |

Cross over the tram line and turn right along the bike path. |

Follow the bike path until it meets Ingles Street. |

Turn left into Ingles Street. |

Cross Williamstown Road at the traffic lights. |

Continue along Ingles Street until just past the Port Melbourne Football Ground. The Academy is located in a warehouse building on your right with bicycle parking out the front. Free parking is also available out the front of the building. |
