Governance
The Australian Academy of Design is a not-for-profit college established under the provisions of the Incorporated Associations Act (Vic) 1985. The Academy’s governing body, the Senate, was inaugurated in December 1998.
Senate members are recognised leaders and innovators in art and design and education fields, supplemented by experts in law, accounting, marketing and public relations. The President of the Senate is Ken Cato, arguably Australia's most prominent designer.
