Making An Application

Applications are made in two parts:

Application for Admission – to the Australian Academy of Design directly
Application for Selection – to Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).

Academy
All applicants must also complete a Direct Application for Admission form
(Part A & Part B ) and send it to the Academy.

The form is also available from the Academy by phoning the Enrolment Officer on 9676 9000 or by emailing your request to info@designacademy.edu.au.International students should check the International section of this website for application details.

VTAC
Details of the courses offered at the Australian Academy of Design appear in the VTAC Guide available through newsagents or on the VTAC website at: www.vtac.edu.au. Further information phone VTAC on 1300 364 133.

Applications for courses in the VTAC Guide should be made through VTAC. Students who have successfully completed the Victorian VCE or equivalent are eligible to be considered for admission. Successful completion of the requirements for art, media arts, studio arts and/or graphic communication or visual communication and design will be an advantage.

Non-year 12 applicants who don’t meet these requirements but have professional experience in the field applied for or in related fields are also encouraged to apply (through VTAC).
