College Selection
Studying at the Australian Academy of Design provides an opportunity for an experience unavailable anywhere else. The Academy was established by former university administrators and teachers who wanted to provide an alternative to the creative education offered in universities. It puts great importance on: |
• small class sizes to ensure every student has ample contact with tutors,
• contact with professional artists and designers to ensure the relevance of
the programs to current professional practice,
• flexibility in the study program to provide students with opportunity to pursue
their individual creative endeavours, and
• major study combinations which will strengthen the students’ career
opportunities.
In deciding on which college you study at you should take into account the:
• quality of the education program offered and the reputation of the institution
• cost of fees and how much class time is included for those fees
• level of understanding of international students' needs
• dedication of the institution to design studies
• selection procedures and recognition of prior learning
• success of graduates
• living conditions and safety of the city where the institution is located.
The Australian Academy of Design scores highly on all of these criteria.
